A men's group for expats and locals in Prague
Making real friends as an adult in a new city is way harder than anyone expects. You can live in a busy city like Prague and still spend most evenings sitting in your apartment.
So in June 2025 I put a sign on a table in the Letná beer garden and waited, wondering if anyone would show up. Ten guys did. Since then Prague Men's Connect has grown to over a thousand men, and there's been a big official meetup every month.
It's the biggest Men's Connect group by far, so there's nearly always someone up for something: a beer after work, a run along the river, a hike outside the city at the weekend.

What a Prague meetup looks like
One big official meetup a month, plus whatever the guys organise in between. New faces at every one.

Each meetup is announced in the Prague WhatsApp community and Facebook group with the date, time and full address.
Most guys come solo
Almost everyone comes to their first one on their own. Just turn up and the boys will make sure you're welcomed right in.
A casual table, nothing more
A big table at a bar or beer garden, a drink (or don't, that's completely fine too) and a chat. No speeches, no agenda.
No fees
No membership, nothing to sign up for. You pay for whatever you order, that's it.

Questions guys ask about Prague
I don't know anyone in Prague. Is it weird to come on my own?
Not at all. Almost everyone comes to their first meetup solo, so just turn up, grab a drink (or don't, that's completely fine too) and the boys will make sure you're welcomed right in.
How often are there meetups in Prague?
There's one official meetup every month, announced in the group about ten days before. Between those, members organise their own things, like hikes, go-karting and BBQs.
Do I need to speak Czech?
No. The group and the meetups run in English, and Czech guys and expats from all over mix together. If you're learning Czech, you'll find people happy to help, and plenty who'll sympathise.
Can the group help with life in Prague, not just meetups?
Yes. The main chat is full of guys sharing flat and job tips and helping each other with Czech paperwork and the rest of the admin that comes with living here.
Does it cost anything?
No. There's no membership and no fees. Joining the group is free and at a meetup you just pay for whatever you order.
